Rideout Parole Hearing This Week

A parole hearing is set for this week for Alex Rideout -- the young man in prison for tampering with evidence in his father's murder in Penfield.

He was sentenced in October 2017 to consecutive sentences totaling three to eight years.

Alex and his brother, Colin, were implicated in the death of Craig Rideout when they were caught trying to get rid of evidence at Mendon Ponds Park. Craig Rideout and their mother Laura were convicted of murder. Alex was acquitted of a murder charge at the trial.

His father's sister wrote the parole board opposing early release.
