The Rochester City School District is reacting to Mayor Warren's referendum proposal. School Board President Van White says the focus needs to be on the kids, not on adults, whkch is where he says the mayor is putting her emphasis.
White says he's looking the mayor, the state education commissioner and the governor in the eye, and telling them to start talking about what's best for kids. White says he is issuing a challenge to the mayor, asking her to join him in rallying around the students in the next couple weeks, in hopes of getting more students graduated.
