Joyce Mitchell, Assist in Dannemora Prison Break Seeks Parole

Another parole hearing reportedly is being held this week for the woman who helped two convicted killers escape from a state prison four years ago.

News10NBC reports Joyce Mitchell has a hearing this week, but the state corrections department isn't saying exactly when. Mitchell was sentenced to 2 and a third to 7 years in prison and was denied parole after two previous hearings.

She was the prison seamstress who helped David Sweat and Richard Matt escape from the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora. Matt was killed after three weeks on the run, and Sweat was recaptured.
