Assemblyman Gantt: 'No one feels as bad about the crash as I do.'

State Assemblyman David Gantt is confirming that he was the driver of a car that hit a van on Central Park last week.

He tells 13WHAM he's sorry people got hurt in the crash and -- in his words -- "no one feels as bad about the crash as I do." He says he wasn't drinking and police gave him a breathalyzer and it showed no sign of alcohol.

Two of those injured were children. Gantt was ticketed for driving though a stop sign. The other driver was ticketed for driving without a license and a seat belt violation.
