Lake Ontario Hits Record High Level

According to both the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the International Joint Commission, Lake Ontario has now hit a record high level -- higher than it was during the 2017 floods.

The lake level now stands at 248.98 feet. The IJC says the outflow from Lake Ontario has been stepped up, but the lake continues rising. Northwest winds are expected to bring flooding late Sunday from Niagara through Oswego Counties.

A Lakeshore Flood Warning takes effect at 6:00 p.m. and runs through 8:00 Tuesday morning.
