More Details in Greece Odyssey Student/Teacher Incident

Below, Bob paraphrases information given to him from a source that prefers to stay anonymous in regards to the Greece Odyssey incident with a student and teacher:

This is my understanding of the incident at Greece Odyssey on Wednesday which culminated in a charge of harassment being brought against veteran shop teacher Don Scanzaroli.
The student in question had, because of previous harassment of the teacher, been ejected from his class and forbidden by the administration from entering the wing of the building in which Scanzaroli teaches.
On the day of the incident, the student came into the wing and to the teacher’s classroom, where a class was going on and the teacher was teaching, and asked to speak about his grade.
The student then began insisting that the grade be changed. He began cursing and physically threatening the teacher.
The student had been removed permanently from the class weeks prior because of unsafe behavior, and given the option of completing his work in a different location. He did not complete the work, got a zero, thus the discussion about grades.
On the day of the incident, the student was told repeatedly by the teacher and security to leave the class.
               He did not.
He instead went to the teacher’s desk and began taking the teacher’s personal belongings – which he had done in the past as well.
That’s when the teacher grabbed the student and threw him to the ground and held him there for security.
The teacher was charged with harassment, a misdemeanor, and has been put on leave by the school district.
