Tree Service Worker Electrocuted While Working in Mount Morris

A tree removal service worker is dead after authorities say he was electrocuted while trying to remove logs from a home in Mount Morris.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says the man was holding onto a metal chain that was attached to a crane that was moving logs from the back of the home to the front yard yesterday morning.

While he was holding onto the chain, it made contact with an overhead power line.

The man has been identified as 21-year-old Cecil Beardslee-West of Perry. The incident remains under investigation.
