Testimony Continues in Sodus Double Murder Trial

The wife of murder suspect Timothy Dean has testified at his double homicide trial that she and Dean planned the murder of Joshua Niles.

Charlene Childers said killing the second victim, Amber Washburn, was not part of the plan. Childers said she and Dean planned the Niles murder while driving home after losing a child custody battle to him.

She says the planning went down to the type of gun they would use.

But Defense Attorney Joe Damelio challenged Childers' credibility -- with evidence she had a lover other than Dean.

Childers previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

During testimony today, co-defendant Bran Bohlar testified that Dean had planned to make Niles' death look like a drug overdose, by using a fentanyl patch.

Bohlar was an officer in the police department in Texas where Dean was the chief.

He pleaded guilty this year to a conspiracy charge for helping Dean rent a car to get to Sodus.
