Group Overseeing SAT Will Begin Using 'Adversity Score'

The group that oversees the SAT will begin using an adversity score which will reflect the social and economic background of each student taking the test.

"The Wall Street Journal" reports the adversity score will use 15 factors including the crime rate and poverty level of the student's neighborhood and high school. The College Board said 50 colleges used the adversity score in a test run last year.
