The public boat launch at the Irondequoit Bay Marine Park has been closed.The closure is due to rising water levels on Lake Ontario. Canoes and kayaks will still be allowed to launch from the park, but are not allowed to use the docks or ramp.The Town of Irondequoit made the decision after consulting with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation. Supervisor Dave Seeley said they will continue to monitor water levels to determine when it is safe to open the launch to the public.
