Rochester Teacher Charged With Using Duct Tape to Restrain Student

A teacher's aide at Flower City School 54 in Rochester is accused of using duct tape to restrain a 12-year-old student with disabilities. According to the Democrat & Chronicle, the teacher remained in her job for another three weeks after the district was informed. Criminal charges were filed in Rochester City Court last week. LaToya Davis, 39, faces misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful imprisonment.
