The Rochester City school board has chosen a new superintendent.
It's Terry Dade, an assistant superintendent in the Fairfax County school system in Virginia. He previously served as a teacher, principal and administrator in that district.
He was one of four finalists from a national search who visited Rochester earlier this month.
The formal announcement could come this afternoon and a formal school board vote could come tonight.
The announcement comes after one board member -- Judith Davis -- called this month for the search to start over to allow a role for the community in the search.
