Rochester Drug Cooperative is hiring two new compliance officers following a large federal investigation and lawsuit in connection with the opioid crisis.
In a first-of-its-kind federal case, criminal charges were brought against the former CEO of RDC for allegedly failing to report suspicious orders for opioids from pharmacies. The two compliance officers, Bonnie Jonas and Louis Milione will serve as members of the RDC’s newly formed Controlled Substances Compliance Committee -- which will report directly to RDC’s Board of Directors.
Jonas is an eighteen-year veteran of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Milione was a former leader of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s diversion control operations.
