8 Arrests Made Following Drug Raids in Rochester and Greece

Eight people have been arrested following a long term investigation into a drug trafficking ring in the City of Rochester and Town of Greece. The Monroe County DA’s office says the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Rochester Task Force, executed search warrants at multiple locations yesterday.

They seized five assault-style rifles, three handguns, and one fully automatic loaded handgun with a 30 round magazine, three kilograms of cocaine, 11 vehicles and 80 thousand dollars in cash.

Arrested were 37-year-old Henry Rivera, 37-year-old Angel Cruz, 26-year-old Jose Maldonado, 45-year-old Reinaldo Rodriguez, 32-year-old Ernest Vazquez, 23-year-old Omar Mendez, 33-year-old Abdiel Robles, and 38-year-old Julius Johnson.

District Attorney Sandra Doorley says in a statement in part “The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office and our law enforcement partners are sending a clear message that we will not tolerate illegal narcotics and firearms of any kind, and anyone involved with such activity will soon find themselves behind bars.”
