Flu restrictions have been lifted at many of the area hospitals.
The restrictions were imposed on visitors earlier this year, during the flu season, but hospitals say flu activity in the area is finally declining.
However, people with fever or respiratory illness symptoms are asked to delay their hospital visits until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.
