Woman Charged in Multiple-Alarm Fire on Monroe Ave

Rochester's Arson Task Force has charged a 26-year-old city woman with second degree arson, assault and numerous charges of reckless endangerment..

They say Caitlynn Acoff caused the multiple-alarm fire at 976 Monroe Avenue a month ago, which gutted the building and put the lives of the residents at risk. The fire also trapped two firefighters who were making sure all the tenants had escaped, forcing them to declare a "Mayday."

The fire caused millions of dollars in damages.
