Rochester police say a man was injured when he tried to break into a house and the homeowner fired a gun. It happened overnight on Marion Street in North Winton Village.
Police say the intruder was not hit by gunfire, but was cut by debris that was struck by the rounds. The injuries are minor.
Andrew Ransbury is charged with trespass and mischief. The homeowner is not facing any charges.
