Mount Morris police and Livingston County deputies are investigating after a decomposed body was discovered in Mount Morris Friday afternoon.
Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says the body was found near a creek bed in the village. was spotted by a family hiking through the creek bed

The sheriff says It could be that of David Clyde Morgan, the man who threatened Geneseo police with a gun and then ran away last July. Authorities have been seeking the convicted felon ever since, but last September they announced their search was now a recovery operation, Morgan being presumed dead.
Sheriff Dougherty says a DNA test will be needed to confirm if the body is actually Morgan.
