Former Rochester Judge Leticia Astacio's political comeback has cleared another hurdle. News10NBC reports her petition to run for the Rochester City Council has been found to contain enough valid signatures to put her on the June primary ballot. That's despite a challenge filed last week claiming hundreds of signatures on the petition were invalid. Astacio is a candidate in the city's northwest district. Earlier this month she was acquitted of a felony charge alleging she violated her DWI probation by trying to buy a shotgun.
