Charlene Childers Takes Plea Deal in Sodus Double Homicide

A woman charged with murder in a double homicide in Sodus has pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Charlene Childers was charged in the shooting deaths last year of her ex, Joshua Niles, and his girlfriend Amber Washburn.

Childers also pleaded guilty to a weapon charge. Sentencing is set for June 27.

Her husband Timothy Dean is awaiting trial on a murder charge.

A third defendant, Bron Bohlar, pleaded guilty in February to a conspiracy charge. Prosecutors said Bohlar helped Dean rent a car in Texas that Dean used to get to Sodus.
