Rochester Firefighter Rescued

A Rochester firefighter was quickly rescued by another fire crew when he fell through a floor while fighting a fire early this morning on Seward Street.

The Rochester Fire Department says it happened at a large two-and-a-half story house, with the fire mostly in the rear of the building. As they were bringing the fire under control the floor gave way, briefly trapping the firefighter who declared a Mayday. The firefighter was taken to Highland Hospital for treatment of a leg injury and has since been released.
