A 17-year-old Rochester man will serve 30 years in state prison and forgo Youthful Offender Status after pleading guilty to first degree manslaughter in the death of Anthony Lawson.
David Johnson also pled guilty to first degree robbery for another incident that happened on the same day.
The District Attorney's Office says Johnson approached Lawson on Lyell Avenue near Child Street and shot him multiple times. Lawson was pronounced dead later at Strong Memorial Hospital after being found on the sidewalk by police. Johnson was on probation from an earlier robbery conviction at the time. He'll be sentenced on May 31st.
