Steuben Co Man Threatens to Kill Rep. Ilhan Omar

Federal prosecutors have charged a Steuben County man with threatening to kill a member of Congress.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 55-year-old Patrick Carlineo Jr of Addison called the office of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, cursing at her staff and threatening to "put a bullet in her skull." He also called Representative Omar a terrorist.

Capitol Police and the FBI traced the call back to Carlineo and arrested him on the charge of threatening to assault and murder a United States official. The crime carries a maximum penalty of ten years and a $250,000 fine.
