Greece Man Charged With Lying to FBI

Federal prosecutors say a Greece man has been charged with lying to the FBI, which carries a maximum penalty of five years behind bars.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Thomas Alonzo Bolin, who also went by the name of Peter Vincent, was investigated after his online history showed he belonged to multiple Facebook groups that encourage support for white supremacy. Last month, Bolin posted statements supporting that ideology and referencing the mosque attacks in New Zealand.

During an interview with agents, Bolin admitted to the Facebook links but said he did not have a gun or ammunition in New York. A search of a bedroom and storage closet that Bolin is renting turned up both a firearm and ammunition.
