The Avon Rotary-Lions Ambulance service is broke and will shut down Saturday.The service blames low Medicaid reimbursements from the state. It has been in operation for 60 years.
Livingston County EMS will take over local ambulance service, with an ambulance stationed in Avon. News10NBC reports Avon is the 20th ambulance service to close in New York state in the past 16 months. And others are strapped for cash.
