The body of a man has been recovered from the Genesee River mouth at Lake Ontario.
Police say a person walking on the pier saw the body floating in the water about 500 feet from shore. A police dive team went into the water and recovered the body, which has been turned over to the Monroe County Medical Examiner for identification.
The Rochester Police SCUBA team was activated, and recovered the body which was then turned over to the Office of the Medical Examiner. They say there are no signs of foul play so far and they're working to identify the deceased.
