The Fairport School District is considering merging the Minerva DeLand 9th grade school into the high school.
Enrollment in the district is falling and the plan would combine the schools in 2025.
The district expects to save $400,000 per year.
The school board could vote on the plan next month, but voters would also have to give their approval in a two-part referendum.
