A Seneca County man who is already in prison for killing of an ex-girlfriend is scheduled for a hearing Monday on charges he held her prisoner and raped her a month before the murder.
Emerson “John” Tohafjian was sentenced last month to life without parole for the shooting deaths in Waterloo of Lori McConnell, and her friend Chuck Andrus. Another friend was wounded.
Tohafjian has pleaded not guilty to the rape and unlawful imprisonment charges. He is also accused of throwing a cat carrier with a cat inside.
At the hearing, a judge will consider pre-trial motions.
