The initiative called “Sound the Alarm, Save a Life” will run from April 27th to May 12th with the goal of installing over 22 hundred free smoke alarms in people’s homes as well as replacing batteries in existing alarms and helping families create a home fire escape plan.
People can visit www.soundthealarm.org/wcny for more information and to register for a free installation appointment.
The initiative will be coming to the greater Rochester area on Saturday April 27th.
