The City of Rochester is making final preparations for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The parade is this Saturday and steps off at 12:30pm.
Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says the parade is a wonderful tradition.. it's also more than that. It's a way to honor those of Irish descent and their contributions to the community, and reflect on the meaning of the day.
The parade will begin at East Ave and Alexander Street, and will end at Main Street and Plymouth Avenue.
That route will be closed to traffic from noon until 3:30 p.m.
