Former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver Could Have Conviction Overturned

Former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver could have his latest conviction overturned.

Yesterday, three federal judges heard arguments from Silver's lawyers appealing his conviction for accepting more than four million dollars in bribes.

According to reports, one judge said a description from prosecutors of what Silver promised to do in exchange for the money was "pretty squishy." There's no word on when the judges could rule.

Silver was sentenced to seven years in prison but is still free on bail.
