The Monroe County Health Department says nine people have died of the flu this season.
The latest monitoring data from the health department says three of the fatalities were people in the 50-to-64 range.
The remaining deaths were in people 65 or older.
There have been nearly 3,000 lab-confirmed cases of the flu this season, with 429 hospitalizations.
