Senator Chuck Schumer wants e-cigarettes aimed at kids and teens banned.
He is calling attention to the issue with Food and Drug Administration commissioner Scott Gottlieb about to leave office., saying Gottlieb needs to make sure e-cigs with fruit and candy flavors are prohibited before he leaves.
According to the CDC, the number of high school students using electronic cigarettes or "vaping" nearly doubled from 2017 to 2018.
Senator Schumer argues that getting rid of these "kid-friendly" smoking products would curb teen use.
