Mayor Warren Wants Rochester to Join Lawsuit Against Opioids

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren wants the city to join a lawsuit being brought by local governments around the country against companies that make and sell opioids.

Cities and counties are suing to recoup costs associated with the opioid epidemic. They are suing manufacturers, distributors and those who promote opioid use.

If the City Council votes later this month to join the lawsuit, the city would retain -- at no cost -- the New York City law firm that is already representing other local governments.
