- Just days after his arrest on federal charges, Rochester City Council Member Adam McFadden has dropped his re-election bid.
- McFadden said in a text message that the South District deserves a representative who can concentrate on the district without legal distractions. For that reason, McFadden has decided not to seek re-election.
McFadden is the longest-serving member of City Council. He was charged last week with wire fraud and money laundering for allegedly pocketing federal funds from the Rochester Housing Authority.
