Council Member McFadden Quits Re-election Bid

Indicted Rochester City Council Member Adam McFadden has dropped his re-election bid.

McFadden said in a text message that the South District deserves a representative who can concentrate on the district without legal distractions. For that reason, McFadden has decided not to seek re-election.

McFadden, who is the longest-serving member of City Council, has been charged by federal authorities with wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
