A top state official is still hoping Amazon may expand to New York.
The head of Empire State Development Howard Zemsky said in a recent meeting the state shouldn't burn bridges and sometimes "no" means "not now". His comments come after Amazon this month pulled out of a deal which had them setting up a headquarters in New York City. It would have created 25,000 jobs.
Zemsky adds Amazon is still a huge employer in the state.
