Man Sentenced in Waterloo Double Homicide

The sentence is life without parole for a man convicted in last summer's ambush shootings of his ex-girlfriend, and her friend, in Waterloo.

Emerson “John” Tohafjian did not speak at his sentencing today in Seneca County.

He was previously found guilty of killing Lori McConnell and Chuck Andrus, and wounding a third person, in the shootings last July.

Tohafjian is still facing separate charges for allegedly raping and threatening McConnell a month before he killed her. A pre-trial hearing on those charges is set for next month.

He also faces animal cruelty charges.
