Rochester Police Make Arrest in Genesee St. Stabbing

Rochester police say they have made an arrest in a stabbing on the city's southwest side.

It happened around nine o'clock last night on Genesee Street, four blocks south of the Boys and Girls Club. Police say plain clothes officers came upon a fight and saw the stabbing. A suspect in his late teens was arrested around the corner.

The 17-year-old who was stabbed is recovering. Police say it's too soon to speculate on a motive.
