A 48-year-old Mount Morris man has been found guilty on all charges in connection with the crash on Lyell Avenue that killed three-year-old Amir Pallet and injured his 23-year-old cousin.
Frank Cassata was found guilty of intentionally driving his car into a group of people along the avenue after an argument with a man at the house next door. Prosecutors say Cassata was aiming at that man on the sidewalk, but missed and hit Pallet and Abriel Fair. After hitting them, he drove off and crashed into another car at Lake and Phelps Avenues.
Cassata had pleaded not guilty to charges of second degree murder, vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene and DWI.
