The Rochester Housing Authority wants you to be aware of a section 8 scam warning.
The RHA says they have become aware of an online scam on social media and ads on web search engines that lead people to a site that is not related to the RHA or any official Section 8 website.
Officials say the RHA’s Section 8 Waiting List is not currently open. The only way to apply or receive information about Section 8 or any other form of HUD rental assistance funding is through Rochester Housing Authority’s Leasing Operations Department.
