The Rochester Region is bracing for a blast of arctic air, expected late Tuesday into Wednesday.
The City of Rochester says it is working closely with its partners to ensure that proper resources are on hand to prepare for the cold temperatures and extreme wind chills this week.
Mayor Warren says RG&E has additional resources on hand to handle weather related calls.
The Rochester Fire Department also warning residents to be careful when heating their homes, to make sure open flames aren't left unattended and that carbon monoxide detectors are working properly.
