There's no word so far what caused a fire in Hamlin that killed one person and left a home in ruins.
The fire was reported shortly before two o'clock this morning on Walker Lake Ontario Road. A person living there ran to a relative's home next door to call for help, and the other person living there apparently didn't get out.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the fire was fatal. The body was found around mid-morning. And the Medical Examiner is working to confirm the identity.
