The search is on for a permanent Police Chief in Rochester.
Mayor Warren says the national search is formally underway, with an application deadline of January 27.
Interim Chief Mark Simmons has been in charge of the police department since September, following the retirement of former Chief Michael Ciminelli.
Simmons will be able to apply for the permanent position, if he is interested.
