Geneva Police Warn Parents About Predator

Geneva Police are investigating two new reports about a suspicious individual. This comes after an incident reported this week in which a man allegedly grabbed the hand of a 13-year-old while he was walking home from school. The man was driving a black minivan. Investigators said on Wednesday an 11-year-old reported seeing a similar man on Carter Avenue wearing a black mask. Another 11-year-old told police that, around 3 p.m. in the area of Sherrill Street and Bell Avenue, a man wearing a ski mask, sweater and khaki pants got out of a black minivan and told the boy, "Come here." The boy reportedly ran home. Police are encouraging parents to arrange alternative transportation or have children walk in groups. Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to call 911 or send an email to tips@geneva.ny.us.
