UR Gets First Woman President

Rochester, NY -- The University of Rochester is getting its first woman president.

Sarah Mangelsdorf is currently the Provost at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has a background in psychology and served as dean of the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University.

She will start her new job in the summer.

Former Dean Richard Feldman has been serving as interim president at the university since Joel Seligman resigned in January in the aftermath of the sexual misconduct scandal involving a professor.
