Congressman Joe Morelle wants to put his late predecessor's name on the post office in the town where she lived for decades.
Morelle is proposing that the Fairport Post Office be named in honor of Louise Slaughter, and her late husband Bob. Bob Slaughter died in 2014, and Louise Slaughter died this year.
