The Monroe County Legislature has approved the 2019 County Budget on a party line vote.
County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says the $1.2 billion spending plan supports her economic development initiatives and the needs of families. Democrats pushed unsuccessfully for more money to solve staffing shortages for Child Protective Services and Early Intervention Services.
The budget includes a cut in the property tax rate from $8.99 to $8.89.
