She says if you're buying things online, it's a good idea to make sure your Internet connection is safe from potential hackers. Also, beware of what you type into your browser, since scammers often use a known company's Internet address to try to lure users into visiting fake websites.
Finally, use debit or credit cards when making your purchases to protect yourself from data breaches and identity theft.
