Rochester Police Make Arrest in October Homicide

Rochester police have made an arrest in a homicide last month in the city.

Luis Souclat-Vega is charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of 49-year-old Alexander Baez on shortly after 8 a.m. on October 8.

Baez was found with stab wounds behind a business at the corner of North Clinton and Clifford avenues, but police say he was stabbed two blocks away -- at 20 Hoeltzer Street. He died a few hours later at the hospital.

Souclat-Vega was arrested last Friday and also faces a drug charge.
